1. Nick Vujicic


Nick Vujicic is a motivational speaker from Australia. From birth, he is suffered from a rare disorder called tetra-amelia syndrome. In this disorder, his all four limbs are absent. This absence of limbs could not stop him to reach his goals. He can do surfing, swimming and can even play soccer. At the age of 21, he graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in Accounting and Financial Planning. He travels internationally for his motivational speeches.

2. Jessica Cox


Born in 1983, Jessica Cox from America is the first licensed armless pilot in world. She was born without arms. She is also first armless black-belt in the American Taekwondo Association. She is also a certified SCUBA driver and can also drive car.She is a psychology graduate from University of Arizona. The plane which is flies is called an Ercoupe. She has taken three years of training before becoming first pilot with no arms.

3. Nando Parrado


Nando Parrado is one of the sixteen survivors of a plane crash. It was October 13, 1972 the day when the the plane’s wing hit the slope of the mountain and crashed. Those who survived drink the water by melting snow. He was trapped in the mountains for 2 months. After that he climb through the mountains help.

Parrado has also co-authored a book made on his survival in Andes.

4. Sean Swarner


Sean is a two-times cancer survivor. He is first cancer survivor to climb Mount Everest. He is only person in the world who is both diagnosed with Hodgkin’s disease and Askin’s sarcoma. When doctors removed the askin’s tumor, he was just expected to live for less than two weeks. But he also overcome that. He had a goal of climbing the highest mountain in each continent and he completed that also.

5. Randy Pausch

Randolph Frederick “Randy” Pausch (October 23, 1960 – July 25, 2008) was an American was an American professor of computer science and human-computer interaction and design at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In Sep, 2006, Paush find that he had pancreatic cancer, a terminal illness. In 2007 He gave an upbeat lecture titled “The Last Lecture: Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams. This video also become very popular on YouTube. He has also co-authored a book on same theme and it become New York Times best-seller. On July 25, 2008, Pausch died of complications from pancreatic cancer .

6. Ben Underwood


Ben Underwood was diagnosed with retinal cancer at age two and his eyes removed at the age of 2-3. At the age of 5, he started practiced the technique of echolocation. He used to play basketball, football, riding a bicycle, rollerblading  and skateboarding. He eventually died at the age of 16 with the same cancer which took his eyes.

7. Liz Murray

Liz Murray is an American inspirational speaker. She was homeless in her school year but she have been accepted by Harvard University. When she was of 15, her mother died due to a disease and father moved to homeless shelter. Murray graduated in two years despite of fact that she started high school later than most students. She has been also awarded by New York Times scholarship for needy students.

Now she works as a professional speaker, representing the Washington Speakers Bureau.
